The She Builds series continues with Elif Item, whose heartfelt story explores the intersection of motherhood, confidence, leadership, and raising the next generation of women in technology.
Hosted by Kate Coffey-Bacon, this live session will begin with Elif revisiting her original TED-style talk, sharing personal reflections on raising daughters with confidence, curiosity, resilience, and the freedom to define themselves on their own terms. Through stories about parenting, leadership, and letting go of limiting labels, Elif reminds us that building future leaders often begins in small, everyday moments at home.
Her message is not just for mothers. It is for anyone shaping the next generation through mentorship, leadership, visibility, encouragement, and example.
Then we open the conversation to the community.
This session is designed to be uplifting, honest, and deeply relatable. Together, we’ll discuss confidence, identity, representation, parenting, mentorship, and the ways women quietly influence future generations every day. Attendees are encouraged to come ready to share what they are seeing and feeling in their own lives, careers, families, and communities.
You’ll leave reminded that leadership is not always loud—and that sometimes the most powerful thing we can build is belief in someone else.
