The She Builds series continues with Jennifer Harris and Kim Congleton, whose heartfelt story reminds us that leadership is not just about building businesses. It is about building spaces where people feel seen, supported, challenged, and welcomed.
Hosted by Kate Coffey-Bacon, this live session will begin with Jennifer and Kim revisiting their original TED-style story about “the table” — the relationships, conversations, mentorship, and community that shape both our careers and our confidence. From building businesses around kitchen tables to creating cultures rooted in collaboration instead of competition, their story is a powerful reflection on what happens when women intentionally make room for one another.
Their message is deeply relatable because everyone needs a table. A place to brainstorm ideas, ask hard questions, celebrate wins, vent honestly, and hear someone say, “You’ve got this.”
Then we open the conversation to the community.
This session is designed to be uplifting, interactive, and full of honest discussion around mentorship, leadership, support systems, and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who help you grow. Attendees are encouraged to come ready to share what they are seeing and feeling in their own careers, leadership journeys, and communities.
You’ll leave reminded that success is rarely built alone—and that sometimes the most important thing you can do is pull up another chair.
15 minutes: Jennifer and Kim retell their She Builds story
30 minutes: Guided discussion
15 minutes: Open Q&A and community conversation
This session is for anyone who values mentorship, collaboration, and the power of community.
Leaders looking to create stronger, more supportive cultures
Professionals searching for meaningful mentorship and peer relationships
Anyone navigating leadership decisions, growth, or career challenges
Individuals who want to build authentic communities instead of transactional networks
People who want to learn how to better support others while also allowing themselves to receive support
Anyone who has ever needed encouragement, perspective, or a reminder that they are not doing this alone
If you’ve ever wondered who sits at your table—or whose table you sit at—this conversation will resonate.
Come for the story.
Stay for the conversation.
